Hot Dogs

Delicious baked hot dogs are great for every occasion!

Summertime barbeque can never be complete without the simple chili cheese hot dogs. While this snack is from America, its origin goes back to Germany. Sausages used in hot dog mustard were brought to America by German immigrants. The snack got its name because sausages in the 19th century were called dogs.

Hot dog meals are so versatile that they can be cooked in several ways, like baking, grilling, boiling, and frying. Do it correctly so the buns can stay soft and moist, no matter what preparation method you need.

Not only kids but even the adults in my home love the way I prepare hot dogs with fried onion chips. That’s why I always keep hot dog sauce and buns for my backyard cookout.

Homemade Hot Dog Chilli

The classic hot dog bun snacks are available from street carts all across the stores in America. Although I liked it, I was hesitant because I doubted the hygiene and quality of the snack.

That’s when I came across an easy hot dog sauce recipe. Though I don’t follow the same recipe, it inspired me to create my version of hot dog chili sauce, which I love.

One thing that makes my hot dog super easy is that it requires no fancy equipment or techniques. I add mustard sauce, fried onions, and sriracha sauce for extra flavor.

Trust me; the hot dog turns out to be super delicious than the ones people purchase from the streets. The buns are equal parts moist and tasty. You can pair the snack with any beverage and a portion of fries.

Another easy method is to microwave the hot dogs. All you need to do is wrap the hot dog in a damp paper towel and cook it for a few seconds. Regularly microwave the hot dogs in 15-minute intervals till properly heated.

Frying Hot Dog

The last method is to fry the hot dogs. You need to heat olive oil in a pan and cook the hot dog for 5 minutes. Turn the hot dogs while sauteing occasionally so it doesn’t burn.
