Enjoy these pumpkin donuts with a nice cup of coffee, tea or top them with cream cheese frosting and crispy bacon for a weirdly delicious dessert.

 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 1/2 teaspoonsĂ‚ pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 3/4 cups + 2 tablespoons flour

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease twoĂ‚ donut pans.
  • In a large bowl, beat together oil, eggs, sugar, pumpkin puree, spices, salt, and baking powder until smooth.
  • Add flour, stirring just until smooth.
  • Fill the donut pans about 3/4 full
  • Bake the donuts for 15 to 18 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into the thickest part comes out clean
  • Remove the donuts from the oven, allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack
