What Kind of Cheese for Tacos

Of course, you want to have tacos with cheese. For this recipe, we’re using cheddar cheese.

Although, a great cheese to use with a little more kick to it is Monterey Jack.

What kind of cheese for your tacos really is a personal preference when you’re making tacos in the oven.

If you’re looking for that restaurant or taco truck flavor, most of them use  Asadero cheese.

Beef Taco Recipe

We’re going to use our favorite ground beef, 80/20 chuck for these oven baked tacos.

The 80/20 meat to fat ratio helps keep the meat from drying out while browning it in the fry pan or skillet.

Feel free to use other percentages of meat, such as 90/10. Adding a little water and covering the pan or skillet while cooking can help the beef from drying out.
