Instructions
Start by laying newspaper out on a good size work area.
Grab a chunk of clay, a handful is good, and roll it into a ball in your hands.
Place the ball down onto the newspaper.
Use the palm of your hand and fingers to flatten it out to 1/3rd of an inch. No need to be exact.
Use the knife to cut the clay into a shape
We’re doing a simple rectangle.
With your hands, press the leaf into the clay. You want to leave a nice impression in the clay from the leaf.
Remove the leaf from the clay once you have your impression. Feel free to discard the leaf or save it for another project.
Carefully work the sides of the clay upwards to form the dish shape you desire.
Allow the clay to dry overnight or until completely hard.
Sand off any rough edges.
Paint both the front and the back of the dish, allow time to dry between each.
After the paint has dried, spray the piece with the Krylon glaze.
Allow it to dry for up to 24 hours before use.
