Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes
Easy instant pot mashed potatoes recipe made using red potatoes and cooked in the instant pot pressure cooker.
Equipment
- Instant pot
- Hand Mixer or Potato Masher
Ingredients
- 10 Red potatoes washed and diced
- 1 Cup Water
- 1/4 Cup Butter
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
Instructions
- Wash and dice the potatoes, leave the skins on. Place in the instant pot with water.
- Place the lid on the instant pot and set the valve to the sealed position. Press pressure or manual cook button and set the time to 5 minutes. When the instant pot stops counting, release the pressure and remove the lid.
- Add butter, salt, and pepper, mix with hand mixer or potato masher.
- Serve

You can use margarine in place of the butter.
You may also add your own flavors. If you like garlic mashed potatoes, feel free to season with garlic.
Perhaps you like the ranch packet mix. Experiment and make them your own with your favorite seasonings.
