Decoration For Christmas Using Cricut
Farm Fresh Christmas Trees crate Christmas decorations using the Cricut Machine with a free SVG or PNG design to use.
Equipment
- Cricut Machine
- Blue cutting mat
- Weeding tool
- Measuring tape
- Scraper or old gift card
Ingredients
- 1 piece Mini crate
- 1 piece 12" x 12" black sticker vinyl or 12" x 12" plaid sticker vinyl
- 1 piece 12" x 12" transfer tape
- 1 White chalk paint and paint brush If your crate is already painted you do not need to paint it again
- 3 pieces Miniature Christmas Trees
Instructions
- Paint the mini crate with matte or chalk paint. I prefer white chalk paint as it has the best farmhouse effect. Let dry.
- Using Cricut design space import the SVG or PNG cut file. Once imported size to the size of the crate your using. I use a measuring tape to be sure what the inches are, then match that in the program. Then navigate to contour and remove the trees as these will be cut with plaid sticker vinyl. If you want it all the same color, then just don't contour.
- Set the black sticker vinyl on the blue cutting mat. Set your Cricut dial to vinyl. Perform the cutting steps in the design space and send it to cut on the machine. Once cut remove from blue mat and weed design.
- Place the transfer tape on the design and scrape with scraper tool or old gift card. This allows the design to stick firmly to the transfer tape. Peel back the transfer tape slowly making sure the design sticks to the tape.
- Set the design with the tape onto the mini crate in the placement you'd prefer. Once the sticker is placed press down and scrape with scraper tool of old gift card. Pull the transfer tape back slowly making sure the design adheres to the crate.
- Once the crate is finished place in three mini trees of choice.
- If you are doing the trees in plaid then contour the design to not have the writing and just the trees. Cut trees on plaid vinyl on blue mat. Follow the above instructions after that.
