The gift of family time is what these holiday wreath brownies will give you. The holiday season is a magical time of year to spend with family, and nothing brings family closer than baking in the kitchen. Baking holiday wreath brownies makes family time that much more sweet. Let’s make chocolate fudge holiday wreath brownies a new tradition, what do you say?
Whether you’re carting kids to the ice skating rink, ski lessons or to their holiday recitals, we all need to carve out a little bit of family time. Making fun holiday treats in the kitchen will do just that, and you’ll have sweet treats that are perfect for gifting to teachers, family and friends, too.
While you’re at Walmart, swing into the baking aisle to pick up the Pillsbury™ Family Size Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix and Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme® Vanilla Flavored Frosting. Next head for the candy or holiday aisle to grab the M&M’S® Holiday Milk Chocolate Candies.
Make sure you also grab a few boxes of the Pillsbury™ Family Size Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix. You know as well as I do you’ll be making a few different sweet treats for family and guests this year, like these chocolate fudge holiday brownies. You’ll also want to check out these peppermint holiday milk shakes – yum!
Now let’s get in the kitchen and give ourselves the gift of family time, while we’re making sweet treats to give to our friends and the people we care about.
Holiday Wreath Brownies
Grab your Pillsbury™ Family Size Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix, 2 eggs, 1/4 cup water and 2/3 cup CRISCO® Vegetable Oil and mix in a bowl; about 50 strokes. Use a piping bag or spoon to fill each cavity of a donut pan prepared with CRISCO® No-Stick Cooking Spray; about two thirds of the way full.
Bake in a 325 degree preheated oven for 28 minutes.
Once baked, allow the brownie wreaths to cool completely and then move them to a cooling rack for decorating.
While your brownie wreaths are cooling, you can color your frosting. I used 15 drops of green food coloring for 1 tub of Pillsbury™ Creamy Supreme® Vanilla Flavored Frosting. Once your brownies are cooled and your frosting is nice and green, you can begin to decorate your holiday brownie wreaths with a piping bag – use a stippling method to give the frosting a little texture. Just dab, squeeze and pull away; repeat.
Next, decorate with red and green M&M’S® Holiday Milk Chocolate Candies. I placed three red M&M’S® Holiday Milk Chocolate Candies in the top left quarter of the holiday brownies and three green ones along the other side. The red candies look like holly berries, don’t they?
