Easter Basket for a Baker

Personalized Easter Basket; The Baker

Personalized Easter baskets are more popular than ever, and the baker in your family will appreciate a bakers Easter basket made just for them. The possibilities are endless when it comes to putting personal touches on an Easter basket, but there are some essentials to think about when assembling a bakers basket.

Silicone has been the new wave of bakers dream tools for the past decade or so, and silicone baking tools are just as popular as when they first hit the market. It seems you can find almost anything you need in a silicone form, from cupcake liners to spoons and whisks. Silicone cleans up easy, is a non-stick (for the most part) and bakes your goodies evenly, which is why bakers would love a basket filled with silicone tools!

Don’t forget to give your little baker the day off from baking and whip up a delicious dessert for the family to enjoy! What will you make though? Don’t worry, I have you covered there as well. I’m sharing a recipe for a super delicious, ooey gooey Easter sundae brownie parfait to go along with your bakers Easter basket!

Easter Sundae Brownie Parfait

Before we put together our bakers personalized Easter basket, let’s make a sweet Easter dessert and give our baker a break from the kitchen this year. I’m thinking we bake up a batch of brownies, of course loaded with some M&M’s® and turn it into a nice parfait. Ooey gooey brownie parfait? Sounds great to me!

The Ultimate Bakers Easter Basket

Easy M&M's® Brownie Sundae Parfait
Course: Dessert
Author: Andrew Eaton

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 stick of melted butter
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1/3 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • Whipped topping
  • 1 Bag of M&M's® Easter Sundae
  • Optional:
  • DOVE® Milk Chocolate candies
  • Food coloring

  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Stir together cocoa powder, sugar, salt and flour in a bowl
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the melted butter and eggs together
  • Pour the liquid mixture over dry mixture and stir until combined
  • Add batter to greased 8 or 9 inch square baking pan
  • Bake in oven for 10 minutes; remove from oven and add M&M's® Easter Sundae candies to top of brownies (this prevents M&M's® from sinking to the bottom)
  • Return to oven, bake additional 17 to 22 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
  • Allow to cool, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • Slowly stir several drops of food coloring into your whipped topping until desired color is reached
  • Add to serving dish and alternate with whipped topping, adding M&M's® Easter Sundae on each level
  • Drizzle with melted DOVE® Milk Chocolate candies (optional)

This sounds down right delicious, right? It’s so simple, they’re nice and moist and the best part is the batch only makes one small square pan, so you don’t end up with a batch of brownies that’s just too big.

Personalized Bakers Easter Basket

Adults don’t need a traditional basket, a mixing bowl or serving dish makes a great Easter basket for the baker in your house! I chose a white oblong serving dish, it kind of reminded me of a half egg shell.

Start with silicone spoons and a whisk! A baker can never have enough spoons, and another whisk is always welcome. Silicone spoons are a great option because they’re flexible, heat resistant, colorful, and best of all – they are easy to clean!

And to go along with the spoons, you can’t forget the spoon rest. This is one of the best things to put in a bakers Easter basket, even if it doesn’t fit! One can never have enough spoon rests in the kitchen!

Silicone cupcake liners are all the buzz. They’re stylish and reusable, they look great and you can use them for so many things. From the perfect size cookies, to egg breakfasts and of course, delicious cupcakes! Don’t forget to fill them with a handful of Starburst® Jellybeans and M&M’s® Easter Sundae before you put them in the basket!

An essential for any baker is a good set of measuring tools. I’m including a set of shiny stainless steel measuring cups and measuring spoons.
