Hard Apple Cider with Whiskey Recipe

Making this hard apple cider whiskey recipe is a snap! All you need is your favorite whiskey (I happen to like the cheap stuff — shhh don’t tell anyone!),  orange or blood orange bitters, brown sugar, a lemon or lemon juice and of a cinnamon stick for a little kick. I like to use oranges and/or apples as garnish as well – that’s up to you!

Don’t forget your whiskey glasses!

New England Hard Apple Cider

A delicious twist on old fashioned apple cider. Add a splash of this and a dash of that to create a nice apple cider cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon / whiskey
  • 2 oz apple cider
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/8 tsp quick squeeze lemon juice
  • 1 Dash of blood orange bitters or squeeze of fresh orange
  • Orange slices apple slices or cinnamon sticks for garnish

Instructions

  • In a whiskey glass, stir together bourbon, apple cider, lemon juice, orange bitters or orange juice, and brown sugar until brown sugar is dissolved
  • Garnish and serve!
