TOUCHDOWN! Who’s going to take it all this year? Football runs through our veins here in New England and we’re gearing up for our football party with frozen 7UP® mocktail margaritas (alcohol optional) in mason jars and a delicious 7UP party dip recipe!

As you know, I’ve been involved in football since I was a kid. Whether it was on the field or off, football is always a subject of conversation around our house. As we get older, we get more creative with our football parties. Each year I try to come up with a new recipe or two to bring to the party, and this year is no different. We’re making a delicious 7UP party dip to go with our frozen 7UP margaritas!

7UP Game Day Margaritas

So, off to Walmart we go to snag our goodies! Aside from chips and other snacks, we’ll make sure to swing by the soda aisle and grab a 12 pack of 7UP 12oz cans.

Don’t forget to grab a bottle of your favorite margarita mix, a tub of lemon-lime sherbet or sorbet and of course a bag of ice! Grab which ever margarita mix you like, we happen to like one with agave nectar and key lime juice!

7UP Game Day Margarita Recipe and 7UP Party Dip Recipe

Fun tip: Use white tape to create football laces on mason jar mugs. It’s the perfect way to be football-festive while watching your favorite teams battle it out on the gridiron!

7UP Game Day Margaritas and Mocktails

You’re still thinking about who’s going to win, right? Final score? 21 to 14?

7UP® Game Day Rita

Makes 2 servings

Ingredients

  • 8oz 7UP
  • 4oz margarita mix
  • 1 scoop lemon or lemon/lime sorbet or sherbet
  • 1 ½ cups ice
  • Sugar to rim the mugs

Directions

  • In a blender, add sorbet or sherbet, ice, margarita mix and 7UP. Blend until slushy.
  • Wet the rim of a glass and coat the rim with sugar; use a saucer to dip the rim
  • Pour drink into glass and serve with a lime slice or wedge!

Optional: Add 1.5oz tequila in step one to make this an adult beverage.

7UP® Party Dip

Now that we have our drinks all planned out, let’s make a delicious 7UP party dip to compliment our drinks and our football foodie spread! This lemon-lime dip is perfect for dipping everything from chips to veggies in – our favorite thing to use this dip for is tortilla chips.

7UP Party Dip Recipe. A party dip infused with 7UP Lemon Lime Soda

Ingredients

  • One 14oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 brick of cream cheese (8oz); room temperature
  • 4oz 7UP
  • Zest from one lime
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  • Using your mixer, whip the cream cheese until creamy
  • Mix in sweetened condensed milk
  • Once combined, mix in 7UP, lime zest and salt
  • Chill in refrigerator for a few of hours or overnight, serve with corn tortilla chips

If you can make this dip the day before, that’s even better. Let the flavors mingle overnight!

  1. Now I am craving that drink. My favorite punch is with 7up and sherbet and a couple other things, never thought of adding the margarita mix, but will give that a try!
