A game night is always a fun night! So, here are some game night snack ideas.

Gaming has changed a lot since we were kids. We grew up playing classic games like The Game of Life game, the Twister game, and the Jenga game.

We would usually get a new game for birthdays or holidays and when we weren’t outside riding our bikes or participating in sports, we’d be inside playing games.

Today we’re throwing a classic game party on the blog, reinventing one of the classics, and invite you to join us!

Game Night Party with Food and Classic Games

Gaming has become less hands-on and a lot more virtual since we were growing up.

That doesn’t mean we can’t set aside a night or two each week to invite our family and friends over to play the classic games.

We can also find new ways to put a spin on the classics and add another level of fun to the games we already love!

Game Night Board Game Options

Tonight we’re playing The Game of Life game and the Jenga game – but with the Jenga game, we’re adding fun, and funny game play cards, which you can print out below.

While we were playing The Game of Life game, I found this card to be extra funny… If you follow my blog, you know why – haha!

That card totally reminded me of Turbo.

Of course, it’s not a game night party without Turbo interrupting, or should I say “helping” to keep score – and looking at you like “what dude? I wanna play too!”

At party time, we’re serving a few delicious snacks and of course, playing classic games!

We’ll be taking a ride back in time to play our favorite classic games and we’ll also add a fun little twist to one of our favorites, the Jenga game.

Our printable game cards are sure to make everyone chuckle while we play. Join us for a fun addition to the classic Jenga game from Hasbro!

I tossed around several ideas for this week’s classic games party recipes and I’ve come up with a couple of no-bake recipes to kick off our game party!

First, we’ll make an M&M’s Peanut Butter dip to serve with apples and pretzels, and then we’ll get a little more adventurous with a popcorn Jenga game tower.

You can find both recipes below.

For our game night party, we’ll need a few things to jazz the place up.

Choose where you’ll set up all your snacks and drinks, then choose where the games will be played.

We’re going to play our games while sitting around the coffee table, while the snacks are set up on the credenza, just across the room.

Once you have made the recipes, you’ll surely have M&M candies left over, place them in serving cups or dishes for guests to snack on.

Plus, when you buy the M&M’s candies in the party size bags, you’ll be able to reseal and save the rest for your next game night in party!

M&M’s Peanut Butter & Chocolate Dip

It’s not a party without dip, right? So today we’re making a tasty dip for apples and pretzels.

What flavor goes great with both apples and pretzels? Peanut butter, of course!

We’re going to add a dash of chocolate to our dip, too. This dip will hit your sweet tooth and ramp up game night for everyone!

M&M's Peanut Butter and Chocolate Dip Recipe

Grab a bowl, your mixer, line up your ingredients (find the whole recipe below) and begin by beating the softened butter until it’s creamed and fluffy.

Once your butter is fluffy, add in peanut butter, ¾ cups confectioners sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.

Beat until smooth, then gradually add in the remaining confectioner’s sugar, ½ cup at a time beat and repeat until all of the confectioner’s sugar is incorporated well.

Once the confectioner’s sugar is incorporated. Add your cocoa powder and beat until it’s mixed in well.

Crush your M&M’s Peanut Butter candies. I placed mine in a plastic baggie and gave them a few whacks with the kitchen mallet. Don’t forget to keep a bunch of whole M&M’s candies to top your dip!

Fold the candies in with a spatula.

Top with M&M’s candies and serve with apples and pretzels.

The Jenga Game with a Twist!

Tonight we’re putting a twist on the classic Jenga game. We’re adding game cards to the Jenga game which have exciting, funny, and some challenging instructions on them.

Jenga Game With a Twist, Game Cards

It’s easy to integrate these cards (print below) into your game. You must complete your Jenga game turn and then pick a card and follow the instructions. Be careful, some of the tasks may knock over the tower, causing you to lose!

Jenga Game Card Printable

Some cards are fun, some are silly, and some may cause you to knock over the tower! Some cards will instruct you to do something, while other cards will have you do something while you’re taking your next turn. Be careful!

Popcorn Jenga Game Tower

Another fun recipe for our game night in party is this popcorn Jenga game tower!

This no bake popcorn Jenga game tower snack is easy and doesn’t take a whole lot of time to make.

That can only mean one thing — more time to play games!

Jenga Game Popcorn Tower

Jenga Game Popcorn Tower Recipe

Ingredients

  • ¾ stick of butter
  • 24 cups popcorn, popped
  • 10oz mini marshmallows (1 bag)
  • 1 cup M&M’s® Milk Chocolate candies

Directions:

  • Pop your favorite pop corn, air popped or microwave, whichever you like best!
  • Treat a 13×9 baking pan, a plastic spoon, and a large bowl with cooking spray
  • Melt marshmallows and butter together in the microwave, or over low heat in a greased double boiler. (About 2 minutes in the microwave) – Stir thoroughly with cooking spray treated spoon
  • Place the popped popcorn (no unpopped kernels) in the large, treated bowl and cover with melted marshmallow/butter mixture, stir until all the popcorn is covered
  • Stir in Â¾ cup M&M’s® Milk Chocolate and/or M&M’s® Peanut candies
  • Dump mixture into treated glass baking dish. Spray hands with cooking spray and spread mixture until flat. Compress the popcorn really well!
  • Place remaining Â¼ cup of M&M’s® candies on top and press in lightly
  • Allow to cool
  • Cut into 1 inch x 4 inch bars, stack like a Jenga game tower and serve!

Pro Tip: Popcorn math: ¾ cup unpopped popcorn = 24 cups popped popcorn. Don’t pop it all at once, it’s a lot of popcorn! PS: 2 microwavable popcorn bags also equals about 24 cups of popcorn.

Game Night Supplies

While we were at Walmart picking up our recipe ingredients and party decor, we stopped by the game aisle to find classic games to play on game night. We picked three games,

The Game of Life game, the Twister game, the Jenga game – three classics that make up the ultimate game party!

The adults can duke it out in The Game Of Life game and the kids can test their skills in the Jenga game and Twister game!
