Effortless Grilled Pizza: No Recipe Required! Easy Marketplace Grilled Pizza

Who loves grilled pizza? I do! I love to BBQ all different foods, pizza is no different. Let’s face it, this summer is shaping up to be one the busiest summers on record for a lot of us! There simply isn’t enough time in the day. It’s one thing or another, a problem or a party. Sometimes we need an effortless meal to help ease the stress and help us relax amidst the summer heat.

Grilling a Marketside Pizza

While your kids are playing water gun tag, you can whip up a no-recipe effortless grilled pizza. No recipe? No joke! Since we’re so short on time, we stopped by Walmart and picked up a ready to bake (or grill!) Marketside Pizza. It’s been in the high 80’s here, there’s no way we’re turning the oven on – so out to the grill we go!

You can find these pizzas right in the fresh produce an deli area near the Marketside Rotisserie Chicken (ready to chow down chicken!). This area is near the front of our Walmart Super Center, so it’s a 2 second stop to grab the pizza and some Coke for an effortless meal. You may also find these pizzas in the refrigerated area in the enclosed coolers.

Effortless Grilled Marketside Pizza

We stopped in at Walmart for a quick sec to grab a Marketside pepperoni pizza, some Coca-Cola and a bag of chips for dinner. We actually grabbed two pizzas, because, you know – it’s a two pizza kind of week!

We decided to cut up some fresh green pepper, onion and jalapeno peppers to go on our pizza while the grill was preheating. Either grab these out of your garden or snag some at Walmart in the Fresh Produce area (right next to the pizzas).

Grilling a Pizza Made Easy

Instructions:

Preheat grill to 450 degrees. If you have a pizza stone, preheat the pizza stone as well.

Optional: Slice up some fresh veggies and add them to your pizza.

Once the grill is pre-heated, place your pizza either on your pizza stone or directly on the grill rack, reduce heat to low. Keep temperature around 450 or just above throughout the cooking time. I’m horrible at watching the grill temp – low will boost up to 500 on me if I’m not careful, it wont ruin your pizza – just keep an eye on it to make sure you’re getting a nice golden crust and melted cheese. The temperature really is very forgiving.

Grilling a PIzza

Grill pizza for 12-15 minutes – until cheese is melted and crust is cooked trough and golden brown.

Note: If you’re grilling your pizza directly on the grill, rotate your pie 1/3 turn every 4 minutes or so to ensure even baking. If you’re baking your pizza on a pizza stone, the stone should be evenly heated so there is no need to turn your pizza.

Easy Grilled Pizza Dinner

That’s all there is to it folks. An easy grilled pizza, ready in under 30 minutes! Toss some chips in a bowl, pour a round of Coca-Cola and you have yourself one great backyard barbecue!

  16. What a wonderful idea. I also do pizza on the grill. I love that it gives it that added smokey flavor that is missing when you cook traditionally. I was pleasantly surprised with the addition of the baking stone I had never thought of using that but it opens up a whole world of possibilities. Your images are beautiful by the way and tonight we are having Pizza. Thanks again.

  19. I’ve never had any luck with pizza on a grill. The temperature just varies too much with wind/etc.
