Pallet Wood Kitchen Island

Becky has some mad skills. She created this kitchen island using pallet wood.

But, what I really love about this island is that she used croquet mallets to fill the voids and for a towel bar!

She then goes above and beyond with a bottle opener, hook, and a sweet rack where she’s storing wine bottles and a cookbook.

The rack is also made from a pallet! I love everything about this kitchen island.

I’m not sure which one I want to build yet, but I know I need to build one…soon!

I’m leaning towards the one with salvaged wood. I just need to find some wood to salvage!

If not, I suppose I can always make one with new wood. It won’t have the same appeal, but it’ll be nice nevertheless.

Which one is your favorite?

  1. Great post! Lots of inspiration. I made a similar Island to the middle one, but I added drop leafs on either end for more surface area. It is great since I have a smaller kitchen with no room for a full sized table.

Looking forward to trying out some other projects on your site!
