Today we’re making a milkshake with left over Edwards Hershey Crème Pie! WHAT? You bet! We’re taking leftovers from an Edwards Hershey Crème Pie and turning it into a milkshake that everyone will love. You’ll only need a slice or two of pie to get a bunch of glasses of this tasty drink!
Whether you are celebrating a birthday (me!), work event, graduation or even a retirement, Edwards pies are the perfect dessert. Not only did I just celebrate my birthday, but that also means spring is here. Spring also means it’s tax time.
Is tax time a reason to celebrate…or sop up the tears? I suppose that depends on whether you’re getting a big fat check, or writing one.. Either way, who can be sad with a nice slice of pie in front of them right? That’s where Edwards Hershey Crème Pie and Edwards Key Lime Pie come into play – yum!
If you’re like me and have to watch your bank account take a big hit, add a splash of vanilla flavored whiskey to this drink recipe to help soothe your soul while you lick the wounds. I kid, I kid… Add a splash of vanilla whiskey to celebrate life! Edwards Pies will help you embrace life’s chaos and enjoy every step of the journey!
While I celebrated my birthday with a nice slice of pie, I was also thinking up this delicious milkshake recipe. I knew we’d have left over pie, so why not do something fun with it, right?
Ingredients
To make this milkshake, you’ll need a slice of Edwards Hershey Crème Pie, vanilla ice cream, milk, simple syrup and optionally, vanilla whiskey to make it a bit more exciting, whipped topping, chocolate syrup and of course cherries!
Let’s get out the blender and get to work. First add one or two slices of Edwards Pie into the blender.
Top that with a quart of of vanilla ice cream, 2tbs simple syrup, 1/4 cup of milk and 1.5oz vanilla whiskey. The whiskey is optional.
Put the lid on and give it a spin. Depending on how awesome or..shall we say less than awesome your blender is, this could take a minute or so. Mine takes about 45 seconds to mix everything up nicely and there are no big lumps of ice cream left floating. You may need to use your blender push thingamajig to shove the ice cream to the bottom.
Now pour everyone a glass, top them with whipped topping, chocolate syrup, graham cracker crumbs and a cherry! That will surely put a great big smile on everyone’s face!
There’s no need to flip a coin or draw straws for the last slice of pie, make this easy Edwards Hershey Crème Pie ice cream milkshake and everyone will get a piece of the pie! Each Edwards Pie is fresh from the oven with a cookie crumb crust. They’re filled with layers of velvety, sweet cream and topped with the most decadent toppings. Whipped, toasted, sprinkled and drizzled to ensure a perfectly delicious bite each and every time.
Next time, maybe there will be a slice of left over Edwards Key Lime Pie – and we’ll try making that one into a milkshake! As you can see, Edwards Pies have a new look, same decadent taste. They’re always the life of the party, and can be used many different ways, and on any occasion!
Now you can make this recipe with any of the Edwards Pies that you find at Walmart, they’ll all work perfectly. My Walmart carries the Edwards Key Lime Pie and the Edwards Hershey Crème Pie.
