Some people like to mix the corned beef into the hamburger mix, and you’re more than welcome to do that. Then all you need to do is top the burger with saurekraut.

This is an easy canned corned beef hash recipe that you can seriously dig your teeth into!

For my recipe, you’ll be making hamburger patties and then topping them with delicious corned beef and hash.

Corned Beef Hash Burgers

Delicious corned beef hash burgers topped with sour kraut.
Servings 4 people
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 12 minutes
Total Time 17 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 can Corned Beef Hash divided in half
  • ½ - ¾ cup Sauerkraut - washed drained and divided in half
  • 2 tbs Ketchup
  • 2 tbs Mustard
  • ½ - 1 tsp Pepper to taste
  • 4 slices Irish cheddar cheese
  • Hamburger buns

Instructions

  • Combine 1/2 of corned beef hash and 1/2 of the sauerkraut in a large bowl using your hands or a large, stiff spoon.
  • Form ¼ pound hamburger patties with the ground beef
  • Preheat skillet to medium heat
  • Cook hamburgers on one side for 4-6 minutes, flip and cook for another 4-6 minutes. Adjust cooking time per your burger preference, adding Irish cheddar cheese to melt during the last minute or two. Also toast your buns at this point.
  • Once you flip the burgers, add the remaining corned beef hash and sauerkraut to the other side of the skillet (or separate pan) to heat through.
  • Place the cooked burgers on toasted buns, top with corned beef hash and sauerkraut. Top with more mustard and ketchup if you wish.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Alternate method: Combine corned beef hash with the hamburger meat and form patties. Cook, then top with heated sauerkraut.
